Beauty Bar Skin Treatments

Facial Waxing

We are specialists in using hot wax to remove facial fluff.

Much gentler than the traditional strip wax used in most salons, hot wax does not adhere to the skin but instead ‘shrinkwraps’ each individual hair therefore causing much less trauma and redness. It is the idea wax for shorter more stubborn hairs.

This is the most effective & least painful method to remove unwanted hair on the top lip, chin & sides of face. Every person has a different pain threshold and also experience waxing different-ly, however if you maintain your waxing regularly, most find it easier as the hairs become thinner, lighter and more sparse after a few treatments. Clients generally find any redness has dis-appeared before they even leave the salon.

After about 4 treatments your hair will get into a growth cycle where you will get the very best results. We recommend you have his treatment every 4-6 weeks, many clients choose to add this service on to their regular brow treatment.

Dermaplaning

What is Dermaplaning

Why Choose Dermaplaning over Microdermabrasion

Dermaplaning is a method of exfoliation whereby the top layer of dulling dead skin cells are gently scraped off in order to reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.

It is a celebrity favourite, specifically among models and actresses as it also eliminates that annoying peach fuzz that cakes up in makeup and can be enhanced by harsh production lighting and high-definition cameras.

Dermaplaning works by removes all the dead skin cells and also the vellous (fluffy) facial hair, leaving the surface very smooth and exfoliated.

By removing superficial skin cells, this allows for greater penetration of skincare products and creates a flawless canvas for makeup to glide on smoothly.

Dermaplaning is the perfect treatment to help prepare skin for chemical peels and intense moisture masks as it removes the layer of dead cells that can prevent products from absorbing effectively.

Whilst they are both forms of physical exfoliation, the methods are very different.

Micro-dermabrasion sands and suctions dead skin cells whilest dermaplaning safely scrapes off the top layer of skin and exfoliates to a far greater extent.

So it is well suited for drier skin types and anyone who also wants to get rid of peach fuzz.

Clinicare Skin Peels

What is a Skin Peel?

Skin peel treatments are designed to exfoliate your skin and encourage it to refresh itself naturally by making fresh new skin cells.

They also stimulate the skin’s natural collagen production to help target the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

The treatment stimulates new cell growth and collagen production, helping to reveal fresher, clearer, brighter skin.

Generally we use peels in conjunction with dermaplaning as this allows better penetration of the active ingredients.

How does a Peel Work?

Skin peel treatments make use of acids and enzymes to exfoliate away layers of the skin to reveal fresher, clearer, more youthful looking skin beneath the surface.

The powerful blend of ingredients in Clinicare skin peels work to visibly reduce the appearance of open pores, remove dead skin cells, target blemishes, acne and pigmentation, and visibly smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
